Miche’al’s Story: Finding Strength in Surrender

"Cancer didn’t take my life. It gave me a new beginning, one filled with hope, purpose, and the joy of walking alongside others."

When she was diagnosed with stage 4 endometrial cancer at50, one survivor found herself facing fear, uncertainty, and a deep longing for connection. Throughout treatment, she prayed for comfort and searched for support—yet often felt alone. Still, a quiet voice reminded her that her journey had purpose.

In 2022, that purpose became clear when she found CanCare. Through our survivor training, she discovered a community of compassion and the chance to become the very support she once needed. Since then, she has walked alongside 18 women—listening, praying, attending appointments, and offering peace in moments that felt anything but peaceful.

This holiday season, her story reminds us that even in our hardest chapters, hope can take root and grow into  something beautiful. And through her willingness to give back, she helps ensure that no one faces cancer alone.

For a deeper dive into Miche’al’s powerful journey, we invite you to read her full story in Hope in the  Face of Cancer.
