We are thrilled to celebrate our newest volunteer graduates from across the country! From coast to coast, you represent the heart of CanCare’s nationwide mission.

Thank you for your compassion, dedication, and commitmentto walking alongside those touched by cancer. Your impact is real—one clientshared:

“My volunteer (Mike) is really great and easy to talk to. He remembers to call every week and he can identify what I am going through and offer ideas and suggestions. Plus just talking to a friendly, knowledgeable person who has been through this helps… Mike helps me cope. I appreciate his contact.”

New Podcast Episodes — Two Powerful  Stories of Hope and Resilience

We’re excited to share two powerful  new episodes featuring Rene Valdry  and Marissa Henley.

Rene, a Senior Strategist at Boeing, shares his experience with a Stage III breast cancer diagnosis  and reflects on vulnerability, the emotional  weight men carry, and finding hope in presence—not outcomes.

Marissa opens up about being  diagnosed with angiosarcoma, a  rare cancer, just before her 34th birthday—while raising three young children—and what real survivorship and healing look like after  treatment.

Together, these episodes offer an honest and encouraging look  at resilience, vulnerability, and hope  for anyone affected by cancer.
